If Howe's given a decent amount of time and financial backing he'll be a success

Re: Barcodes - Bruce gone
Guessing a lot of it has to do with attitude. Often thinking they are better than they are and therefore don’t continue to put the work in that got them to a level.

Probably not that for all, but it’s often what I think when I look at players like that

Jonjo has some good games, and a lot of poor ones.

Can never figure players like him out.

Oh deary me,

Howe also said that he wants to build the team around Jonjo Shelvey. Not sure that is going to turn out well.

Seeing them and Villa go down would be very satisfying

I like Howe.

But it wouldn't surprise me if they sacked him in January.

Newcastle are a car crash of a club, they seem to be cursed

They win the lottery in terms of funding yet the team leading the bid are 3rd rate at best

It's all going to end up badly, you just know it

Howe will not stop them being relegated

Platitudes and saying how much better manager he is after the break….

Packed on a few pounds…
Definitely Mk 2 Curbishley…

Re: Barcodes - Bruce gone
He can organise a team and did have Bournemouth playing some nice football at times but has never really worked with "star" players or the elite end of the game. It will make or break his reputation though? There will be the prima donnas who only listen to an ex-pro that has an impressive playing career or a manager that has had lots of success or trophies in Europe. Many of these players not understanding that being able to play the game well is loosely related ( at best ) to the skill set required to coach and manage.

He seems a decent enough bloke but hope to see them relegated as we already have 4 teams trying to buy the league. Well Liverpool less so but City, United and Chelsea have such a financial advantage. Yes the pundits will say just having money does not buy you success ( e.g. Everton spending 500 million in 3 or 4 seasons and going nowhere ) but the levels of expenditure by these super rich clubs will ultimately vuy success over the long term. Its something I would love to see changed eventually but while there are millions of TV subscribers to the Prem overseas, all supporting the 4 rich clubs, who continue to build their brand and increase that overseas support, the cartel will remain in place :-(,

Would be great if we could piss on their chips for a few seasons like Leicester did.

Yea, of course he is Tex, just because you say so. Stick to the quiz and papers threads.
